DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE & APPLICATIONS
The Department of Computer Science, established in 1992, has evolved into a leading Computer Science department in Vijayawada, offering the B.Sc. (MPCS) programme. It is committed to delivering quality technical education in computing and information technology.
The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) programme was initiated from the academic year 1998–99 and is approved by Acharya Nagarjuna University.
The Department actively participates in Academic Exchange Programmes and offers certificate courses such as DTP and Tally to interested undergraduate students. Teaching and learning materials are regularly prepared for the benefit of students.
After completing undergraduate programmes in Computer Science, students are either selected by leading MNCs or guided towards professional and postgraduate courses.
To promote techno-awareness, the Department organises an annual state-level technical meet named TechnoBanquet – A Perennial Quest for Technology. The objective is to create a platform for Computer Science students to explore and enhance their knowledge and showcase their presentation skills.

Keeping in view the growing challenges in the global IT sector, the Department designs a curriculum suitable to market needs. It offers quality education through constant orientation in both theory and practical using state-of-the-art technology, thereby facilitating students to secure placements in top IT industries.

Our computer labs are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The Department takes pride in providing computers to students in a 1:1 ratio. All computer labs are wired with uninterrupted high-speed internet connectivity.
